In my spare time tonight I have done some digging for some information about the upcoming Sleeping Beauty. Since the apparent script has leaked and the character names obviously match up (though we here at Emily Browning Fan won’t be sharing it – sorry!) I was able to find this ‘official’ summary on Screen Australia.

Although it is not confirmed the budget is 50,000 (Australian?) dollars, which explains the quick shoot time – as theorized. I’m not sure if people outside of Australia will be able to see this film, but hopefully so given Emily is rising to fame again!

I have just edited this post to announce that there is a new Sucker Punch still. Unfortunately, Emily’s character is not pictured but it does show more of the dragon/’lighter’ fight scene. Click here to view it and hype, hype, hype this film up!

Things have been quiet on the Emily front… but I have four new images for you. Two are outtakes that are unfortunately tagged, but great nevertheless. The other two are from 2009, when Emily attended the Myer Winter/Autumn fashion parade. Enjoy!

Here’s a video on Youtube from CBS news I found of Zack Snyder and the girls talking while signing autographs from Comic-Con and also on the actual panel. I know it’s nothing new, but at least it’s something to keep us reminded of how cool Sucker Punch is going to be!

Hi everyone! I posted some info about this stuff on my Twitter and also, if you went to Comic-Con you probaly already know about these things but because there’s no recent and proper Emily news, although rumor has it she may still be in the running for the role of Lisbeth Salander in The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, other rumors are floating around that she’s either auditioning for another part or working on something else at the moment. We aren’t sure yet, but we’ll keep you updated!

Anyway, Titan Books will be publishing a book called Sucker Punch: The Art of the Film by Zack Snyder. It won’t be released until February 15th, 2011 but I’ve gone ahead and already pre-ordered the book because I am personally sure this film will be fabulous and the artists who put effort into this film are absolutely incredible. If you don’t feel like searching the site for the summary yourself, here it is:

We’ve heard that the figures on display at the Con, including a couple of the other girls and the ‘bunny mech’ were there on a ‘test run’ but if all goes well after the film’s release Gentle Giant will be releasing them. Note that this is just a rumor and they have declined to reply to any of my e-mails asking on specific release dates or whether it will happen, but we sure hope so. As for t-shirts, other merchandise, etc. – all of that was apparently exclusive to Comic-Con but I was lucky enough to snag myself a signed Baby Doll poster by Emily while the girls were doing signings! I also have a few Baby Doll bracelets and a couple of the other girls, and a high quality ‘postcard’ of the Gentle Giant figure which in my head confirms that they are pushing releasing these things. Apparently in real life they are pretty large, but no, not life size as some people had gotten that idea.

What else do we know about Sucker Punch? I’d like to say I know a fair amount, and I have been lucky enough to be able to have talked to some of the artists briefly over Twitter but I don’t think I know more than the average person who has done their homework on the film. Plus, I think it’s more fun to find out as we go along.

Photos have cropped up of friends, co-stars, and family of Vanessa Hudgens hanging out with her after her first Rent performance and at the after party. Unfortunately, there’s only one of Emily (so far and and probably the only one) but it’s a gorgeous photo. It’s in medium quality. I love her red lipstick, what do you guys think of this look? Also, I have to commend these girls for all sticking together when they can. It’s very sweet.

Both are videos on Youtube. The second one is a little bit stalkerish, but at least we got a glimpse of what she thought about Vanessa’s performance. I don’t know if I can grab these videos to put on the site considering what rights they have but I’ll see about it. In the mean time click through to check them out. Thanks! Hopefully there are some photos to come. I heard a rumor Emily is still in the states for a little while, I am wondering if she is thinking of working on a new project. No idea if it’s fact though so just take it with a grain of salt as usual before we have confirmation.

Twitter users and people who have gone to see Vanessa Hudgens rehearse for Rent at the Hollywood Bowl have confirmed (though I’m taking it with a grain of salt until we have solid word) that Emily and her boyfriend are in attendance.

Assorted other sources on the web are saying she is going to be sitting in the same box Zac Efron is. Hopefully we can have some photos for you guys. If not, at least it’s good to see Emily supporting one of her co-stars in such a sweet way.

Hi everyone, you’re probably almost getting tired of my posts! I made some icons and figured you guys would like them. They all work on Livejournal, even the .gif (though sorry it moves so fast – I have an alternate slower version but I think this one looks better) and I’ll be making more. Hi guys. I added some photos of Emily signing autographs at Comic-Con. Emily signed alongside her ‘Sucker Punch’ girls (aside from Abbie Cornish who was not in attendance due to scheduling conflicts) – and Zack Snyder. I have obtained one of these autographs myself and will be scanning it for the site as soon as I can. Note that after looking over several of Emily’s old autographs, and a couple from Comic-Con it appears that Emily’s signature is ever changing. It’s also hard to obtain. According to most Comic-Con goers all the girls and Zack personalized each poster they signed except for a select few (if people had an extra). But check out these cool pictures. Also, I goofed on the gallery earlier so please let me know if there’s any non-viewable photos in the panel folder. I will try to replace them as soon as I can.

It’s nothing major or too new but I figured I’d tell you guys about it anyway. On the website located at http://suckerpunchmovie.warnerbros.com/ you can now view the trailer in HD, the posters in HQ (click on them) and Alex Pardee’s art in HQ (click on those also). I do wonder what the site will look like when it’s done, I can’t wait! I have added all the photos/art Emily is visible in HQ to the gallery shown below. Pardee’s art is nothing short of spectacular, aligned with Clay Enos’ photography Zack Snyder sure seems to know what he’s doing with this film. I can’t wait!
